Morning, folks. Let's get into it.
FieldAI just hit a $10B valuation raising $700M , for software that runs humanoids, drones, and industrial bots it never built. Europe wrote billion-dollar checks for the machines. The US brain layer: FieldAI, Physical Intelligence, Skild now stacks $35B combined. Metal ships; software sets the price.

Five bullets of updates
🧮 Vayu, an AI finance startup, launches a Revenue Intelligence Hub for CFOs to track AI product profitability in real time across usage-based and hybrid pricing models. It underlines how AI is breaking simple seat-based SaaS economics and pushes finance teams toward systems that deliver real-time margin visibility instead of backward-looking, quarter-end surprises.
💬 Chat platform Discord is rolling out a self-serve Ads Manager so businesses of any size can run campaigns directly, with full self-serve access planned for early 2027. That moves Discord toward an ad-driven revenue model that welcomes smaller advertisers, while the expansion of ads could alienate users who value its community-focused culture.
☁️ Open-source home-automation firm Nabu Casa is renaming its “Home Assistant Cloud” subscription to “Home Assistant Link” to stress it is one optional service, not a default cloud dependency. The move shows privacy-first platforms using paid connectivity to fund open-source work while keeping users' devices and data decoupled from big-tech lock-in.
🤖 Wall Street banks such as JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Capital One have increased hiring for AI agent orchestration engineers, with job postings up 1,721%. This shift to coordinating specialized AI models to automate financial workflows signals that large enterprises are standardizing on multi-agent systems, making AI orchestration expertise a priority skill for embedded, production-grade automation.
⚡ Rivian, a US electric-vehicle maker, lifts quarterly deliveries about 45% to over 19,000 thanks to its new R2 model. The surge pushes Rivian toward sustainable scale and shows the R2 can drive volume, pressuring other EV startups to demonstrate comparable delivery growth.

The AI notetaker that gets the hard words right
Your AI is only as good as what you feed it. Feed it a transcript with your product names, acronyms, and numbers spelled wrong, and you spend the afternoon hand-fixing the output.
Wispr Flow Notetaker uses your dictionary and calendar, so product names, acronyms, numbers, and uncommon names come out spelled right. It pops up when your meeting starts and captures Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Slack huddles with one click, no bot joining the call.
Then your meetings show up inside Claude or ChatGPT through the built-in connector. No copy paste. Try Notetaker free on Mac and Windows.

FieldAI hits $10B selling Europe the brains for its bots

Who actually owns the robot?
For decades the robotics gospel said the money lives in the machine. The metal. The muscle. That gospel just died.
Enter FieldAI, a California outfit founded in 2023 that builds no robots at all. It builds the brain: one "universal general-purpose" software layer meant to run construction bots, data center bots, defense bots, whatever walks in. And investors are losing their minds over it.
FieldAI is raising $700M at a $10B valuation, up from $2B just over a year ago. That is a 5x markup, powered by $135M in revenue and contracts across 30-plus customers, up at least $35M since June.
So where's Europe in all this?
Building the bodies. NEURA raised up to $1.4B at roughly $7B. London's Humanoid grabbed $152M at $1.35B. Munich's Agile Robots is circling $800M. All beautiful hardware. All muscle, little brain.
Meanwhile the American brain-layer trio: Physical Intelligence, Skild AI, and FieldAI, now stacks near $35B combined. The machines get built in Europe. The intelligence gets valued everywhere else.
The lesson for founders choosing vertical hardware versus software-first: decouple your revenue from the capex cycle, go hardware-agnostic, and sell the brain as a recurring service. Metal commoditizes. The brain compounds.
Watch Agile Robots close. That number tells us if hardware can still compete.

FOUNDER BRIEF
What founders clicked on most in recent issues
📊 Entrepreneur flags $0 in-year financials as the core culprit behind midyear tax and cash flow missteps for SMBs.
The article outlines a lightweight “financial OS” built from continuously reconciled bank and card feeds, with a July midyear review that recalculates estimates and tests whether reported profit is actually converting into cash rather than vanishing into receivables, inventory, debt paydown or owner draws. That same system leaves behind a clean audit trail built on third-party statements instead of year-late spreadsheet archaeology.
🛠️ Carbon launches self-hosted ERP/MES platform letting manufacturers control 100% of production data on-prem.
The launch hinges on a single Postgres schema with row-level security that combines ERP, MRP, MES and QMS, so BOMs, travelers, serial genealogy, quality events and multi-entity ledgers all live in one database inside the customer’s VPC or air-gapped network. Enterprises can run the TypeScript/Docker stack from a GitHub clone or via BYOC, where Carbon operates upgrades and monitoring while CUI, attachments and AI traffic never leave the customer’s boundary.
🤖 Meta debuts Muse for Small Business, linking AI to Shopify and others to tap into a $27B SMB software market.
Muse now acts as an operational layer across financials, storefronts, comms and design tools by piping in live data from Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, Slack, Canva and Meta’s own ad stack. Owners can then ask it to audit last quarter’s sales, flag unusual spend and auto-draft next week’s campaigns without touching each app.
🚀 Solopreneurs automate up to 60% of admin work with AI assistants, reclaiming hours for strategy and creative growth.
The actual lift comes from wiring AI into calendar, inbox, invoicing, and CRM as a single workflow so meetings automatically generate notes, invoices, and follow-ups without human touch. Early adopters report reclaiming 1–4 hours per day this way, effectively adding a part-time operator without payroll.
